The following information was taken from reports on file at the Andover Police Department:

Tuesday, July 23

A snapping turtle was seen outside of a Sheridan Road home at 11:13 a.m.

A man reported someone broke into the tool box in the bed of his truck on Frontage Road.


Wednesday, July 24

A blue Jeep Wrangler was vandalized with graffiti on Shattuck Road at 8:11 a.m.

An injured squirrel was attacking people on Maple Avenue at 2:22 p.m. It was taken to the River Road animal clinic.

Kurt N. Levasseur, 38, of Lowell was arrested on Dascomb Road at 11:54 p.m. and charged with trespassing.

A man was bitten by a dog on Random Lane.


Thursday, July 25

A Haggets Pond Road home was reported broken into at 11:39 a.m.


Friday, July 26

About 6:08 p.m., a cone covering a water pipe defect on Railroad Street sunk into the road, causing a hazard. The Highway Department was notified.


Saturday, July 27

A car crashed into a tree on South Main Street at 2:44 a.m. The Fire Department and a medical helicopter responded.

Devone T. Debenedictis, 30, of North Billerica was arrested on Frontage Road at 7:43 p.m. and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.


Sunday, July 28

Jameal H. Goyau, 19, of 7 Tower St., Methuen, was arrested on Shattuck Road at 12:21 a.m. and charged with larceny.

Harold E. Luciano Tavarez, 47, of Nashua, New Hampshire, was arrested on North Main Street at 7:26 p.m. and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

A contractor doing electrical work at a home on Haggetts Pond Road ordered three young people who were trespassing to leave the property.


Monday, July 29

Cort Pfister, 59, of 81 Greenwood Road, Andover, was arrested on Candlewood Drive at 2:18 p.m. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

Robert O. Menery, 32, of Newburyport was arrested on Canterbury Street at 5:23 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.

A caller reported his car was keyed on Oak Street overnight.
