Dozens of local pre-schoolers were simply too cute to be scary this Halloween, so a party for them was low key — spookiness was not included.

Instead, art projects, games and a costume parade were the highlights and the kids loved it all, said Andover Recreation Director Chris Dempsey.

Every year during the Halloween season, the town's Recreation Department holds the "Too Cute to Spook" event, which is popular with local children. It was held Wednesday of last week at the Town House on Main Street.
