Champagne won't be flowing at this celebration.
Instead, a master butcher from Butcher Boy in North Andover will give out treats. A children's book author will share his book about a service dog that became a hero.
This party celebrating the success of a one-year-old business will be geared to dogs and their owners, and why not?
The dog washing business That Dirty Dog has caught on with locals and people outside of Andover alike. To say thank you, Cheryl Iodice, owner of the business at 28 Chestnut St., is giving a party for her customers and their pets on Saturday, Feb. 8.
"I am celebrating my first-year anniversary and, as the old adage goes, time flies by when you're having fun," Iodice said.
She provided these numbers from her first year in business:1,600 self-serve washes and 700 full-service grooms for more than 1,000 customers.
"With all of this, I think 2020 is going to be even better,'' she said. "I really believe we've formed a great relationship with the community.''
Here is the schedule of what's happening at the anniversary party:
Dog training: Sara Schevis of K9 Excursions will give a talk at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. about the importance of human and canine communication and sharing some useful training techniques.
Pet grooming: Marilyn Martins, senior pet stylist at That Dirty Dog, will give a demonstration at 2:30 p.m. on proper brushing tools and techniques.

Jarvis will sign his book with every purchase and Mocha will be there.
Run for the Troops 5K walk/run: The party will provide $5 off the registration fee for the 2020 walk/run scheduled for Sunday, April 26, in Andover. All proceeds benefit Homes for Our Troops, which builds adapted custom homes for veterans.
