State Reps. Paul W. Mark and Tram Nguyen, in conjunction with the U.S. Census Bureau, will hold a census 2020 informational briefing to raise awareness for U.S. Census outreach efforts in the Merrimack Valley.
The briefing will be held July 11 at 6 p.m. in Memorial Hall Library.
The census, which is conducted every 10 years, provides a snapshot of the nation that helps determine where to build new schools and businesses, and how federal funding is distributed, among other issues.
The 2020 Census is on April 1. Outreach efforts are being conducted by Complete Count Committees, which are coalitions of state and local governments, businesses, and community organizations to support outreach and educate the state on the importance of the national Census.
