Freedom North Shore, a small group of committed North Shore citizens working to ensure the health and well-being of women, children and families in Massachusetts, recently presented Rep. Tram Nguyen with their Women’s Empowerment Award in recognition of her unwavering support of women’s rights.

Freedom North Shore is working to ensure that the efforts of local legislators do not go unnoticed. The group salutes and supports allies, and will continue to work with them to ensure that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts remains a leader in civil rights.

Nguyen may be a newcomer to Beacon Hill, but she has accomplished much in her first 100 days, says the FNS press release. She's filed 21 bills, according to the group, and her bills are designed to “protect the most vulnerable, ensure fair employment practices, promote safety for victims of violence & human trafficking, advocate for energy efficiency, and address climate change.”

Nguyen serves on the Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use & Recovery, the Joint Committee on Municipalities and Regional Government, and the House Committee on Personnel & Administration.
