A question will be on the ballot this fall asking voters if they think there should be more charter schools in Massachusetts. Last week, members of the local and state teachers’ union held a ‘visibility’ rally in Elm Square opposing Question 2. They said more charter schools take funding away from traditional public schools and that there should be fewer charter schools, not more. But charter school advocates are also passionate about their cause, saying that without them, many children wouldn’t receive the kind of education they need and would end up getting left behind. What do you think?
