Incumbent Major 'wears citizenship with pride'

Editor, Townsman:

How fortunate for Andover to have the service of Brian Major, selectman, for five consecutive terms. His tenure reflects an extensive record of exemplary leadership, dedication, and committment to our town.

Major's incredible energy, keen intellect, broad knowledge of issues, and his ability to actively listen and build consensus are qualities that have enabled him to communicate and work closely with many town constituencies: the board itself, town employees, public citizens and many youth groups. Far beyond his position in town government, his has demonstrated his strong spirit of community by his enthusiasm, consistent support and active participation in volunteer activities, serving as a strong role model for children of all ages. His involvement in Summer Theatre Ensemble, a theater program for talented middle and high school young actors, reflects his passion for the arts and deep conviction of how its sustainment positively impacts our youth. Major has given time, valuable assistance and shared his talents, winning the admiration and respect of young people. He possesses a deep understanding of the qualities that make our town special and wears his citizenship with pride.

We proudly support Brian Major in his re-election campaign.
