As I begin my term as state representative for the 18th Essex District, I want to extend a sincere thank-you to the residents of this district for putting your faith in me to represent you on Beacon Hill. Your feedback was invaluable to me throughout my campaign, and I look forward to continued dialogue with you this upcoming session.
I am ready to get to work on the issues that we have discussed at campaign events and on your doorsteps: common-sense gun safety, environmental protection, school funding, women’s health, services for our seniors and veterans, investment in infrastructure, and the opioid crisis.
I also intend to make sure that the residents and businesses affected by the gas crisis within the Merrimack Valley are made whole, and that appropriate measures are taken to ensure that this type of disaster does not happen again.
To be an effective leader, I need your help in identifying the issues that matter most to you and your communities, and how I can best serve you. I want to communicate with and be accessible to my constituents, even when we disagree.
Please feel free to reach out by email at Tram.Nguyen@mahouse.gov.
I will also hold monthly office hours in each of the four towns in the district, such as those on Friday, Jan. 4, at Caffé Nero and Saturday, Jan. 5, at Memorial Hall Library.
I also look forward to meeting constituents at the following upcoming office hours:
In Boxford, 10 a.m. to noon, Friday, Jan. 11, and 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 12, in Conference Room 2 at Town Hall;
In North Andover, 10:00 a.m. to noon, Friday, Jan. 18, and 2:45 to 4:45 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, in the Reeve Room at Stevens Memorial Library; and
In Tewksbury, from noon to 2 p.m., Friday Jan. 25, and from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, in the Trustees’ Room at Tewksbury Public Library.
The Merrimack Valley has sent a strong delegation to the Statehouse, and I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to effectively serve the people of the 18th Essex District, as well as the rest of the region and the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
It is truly an honor to have this opportunity to serve you.
Rep. Tram T. Nguyen
