About Us
The Andover Townsman was established in 1887 as a weekly community newspaper and has been the hometown newspaper for Andover, Mass., for more than 125 years.
It is owned by Community Newspaper Holdings, Inc. of Montgomery, Ala. The publication is part of the North of Boston Media Group — a regional chain of four dailies, including The Eagle-Tribune based in North Andover, Mass. — and five weekly newspapers in Massachusetts' Essex County and southern New Hampshire.
Our award-winning publication is known for outstanding journalism, with coverage of local government, schools, sports, business, townspeople and more. From its inception through today and in the future, we aim to inform, enlighten and engage you as we tell the stories that combine to make Andover the community it is regarded for.
