BOYS SWIMMING

John Belanger won the 100 freestyle (49.95), Dave Iannalfo took the 100 butterfly (58.83) and they teamed with Stan Camin and Aaron Wu to take the 200 medley relay and Wu and Abe Iyengar to win the 200 freestyle relay as Andover bested Lexington 90-80 last Tuesday. Dave Hunter chipped in with a win in the 200 freestyle.

Dave Hunter won the 500 freestyle (5:01.81) and 100 backstroke (1:00.58) as Andover tied B.C. High 93-93 on Friday. Stan Camin took the 100 breaststroke, John Belanger won the 200 freestyle, Dave Iannalfo won the 200 IM and Aaron Wu took the 50 freestyle for the Golden Warriors.

Lynch takes first

Caleb Lynch placed first at 145 pounds to lead Andover at the Woburn Tourney on Saturday. Golden Warriors Brett Welch (119) and Tito Brito (140) each took thirds while Sean MacDonald (135) and David Ortiz (215) each placed fourth.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Mattison sweeps

Rachel Mattison delivered a sweep, winning the vault (9.35), bars (9.55), beam (9.45), floor exercise (9.5) and all-around (37.85) as Andover topped Newton South 139-125 last Monday. Jenny Coneeny added a second in each event for the winners.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Boudreau, Warriors keep rolling

Nicole Boudreau sunk five 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 26 points as Andover defeated Rhode Island powerhouse Barrington 78-50 on Friday. Natalie Gomez-Martinez added 20 points while Devon Caveney chipped in with 14 points and for the winners.

Oliva Biles tallied 13 points as Andover rolled past Dracut 86-47 last Tuesday. Nicole Boudreau scored a game-high 20 points, Natalie Gomez-Martinez added 15 points and Ally Fazio knocked down a pair of 3-pointers for the winners.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Dowden, Andover dominate

Sam Dowden scored 13 points as Andover rebounded by blasting Dracut 71-33 last Tuesday. Joe Bramanti scored a game-high 14 points and James Costello added nine points for the winners (7-2).

BOYS SKIING

Warriors open in style

Nick Sherman (19.31) and Matt Cummings (19.48) grabbed the top two spots overall and Tom Suglia took fifth as Andover downed Masconomet 89-46 last Monday. Adam Risman was 12th and Kurt Geffken added a 15th for the winners.

BOYS ICE HOCKEY

Centrella, Swett score

Liam Centrella scored a pair of goals and assisted on another, and Matt Swett continued to roll with a pair of goals as Andover drubbed Westford Academy 4-0 last Thursday. Chas Heseltine and Luke Walker each had an assist and Kyle Berthiaume made 12 saves for the shutout.

Matt Swett stayed hot with a goal, but Andover fell to Acton-Boxboro 2-1 on Saturday. Jim Burns and C.J. Boilard each added an assist for the Golden Warriors. Kyle Berthiaume made 23 saves.

GIRLS TRACK

Bishop, Eberth lead the way

Eve Bishop, Sydney Eberth, Molly Lynch and Emily Shields teamed to take first in the 4x200 relay (1:48.05) and the squad of Moira Cronin, Jess Salley and Emily Belluche won the high jump relay (14-10) as Andover placed second in the Class A Relays over the weekend.

Eberth joined Ray Bronenkant, Sarah Van Antwerp and Jaclyn Torres to take second in the 4x400 relay and Bishop teamed with Maggie Mullins, Chelsea Angelsanto and Torres to place third in the 1,600 sprint relay.

BOYS TRACK

Farnhams, Warriors shine

The team of Simon Voorhees, Brian Knapp, Pat Farnham and Adam Carrington took second in the sprint medley relay as Andover placed fourth at the Class A Relays. Farnham also teamed with brother Cam Farnham, Max Verrette and football standout Mark Zavrl to place third in the 4x50 relay.

Michael Maldari, Ryan Cooney, Will Ossoff and Andrew Newcomb teamed to take second in the distance medley. Ossoff, Cooney, Newcomb and Ryan Beaumont added a fourth in the 4x800 relay.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Similar names, same production

Meagan Keefe, Meaghan Leary and Meghan Pierce each scored a goal as Andover played Arlington Catholic to a 3-3 tie on Saturday. Leary, Keefe and Morgan Muggia each had an assist for the Golden Warriors.

MacKenzie Dutton made 45 saves, but Andover lost to Hingham 5-0 last Monday.

BOYS GYMNASTICS

Manning opens with win

Brian Manning won the parallel bars with a 7.1, but Andover lost to Burlington 150-120 on Friday. Colin Rivet took a second in the all-around and Sam Nieves was third in the floor exercise for the Warriors.
