Andover’s keeper Ainsley Napolitano, here making a save against North Andover, delivered a big week in net.

Field Hockey

Emma Reilly scored one goal and assisted on two others as Andover beat Chelmsford 3-0 last Tuesday. Rose MacLean and Brooke Cedorchuck each added a goal and the Golden Warrior defense did not allow a shot on net.


Casey Michael and Emma Reilly each scored a goal in the first half, and Andover held strong to beat North Andover 2-1 last Wednesday. Adelaide Weeden made two saves for the win.


Emma Reilly and Casey Michael each scored two goals as Andover rolled past Methuen 6-0 on Saturday. Olivia Beucler and Kylie Johnson each added a single for for the Warriors (7-0-1).

Girls Soccer Azzi’s goal enough

Emma Azzi scored in the first half, and that was enough to give Andover a 1-0 win over Chelmsford last Tuesday. Ainsley Napolitano made two save in the win.


Ainsley Napolitano made seven saves as Andover played North Andover to a 0-0 tie last Thursday.


Despite four saves for Ainsley Napolitano, Andover fell to Masconomet 1-0 on Saturday.

Girls Volleyball Kobelski, Pierce star

Marissa Kobelski notched team-highs in kills (13) and digs (12) as Andover held off Central Catholic 3-2 last Tuesday. Sophia Miele added 16 service points, Sophia Pierce chipped in with seven kills and 14 service points and Ava Sipley had 31 assists.


Sophie Pierce scored 23 service points and five aces as Andover beat Danvers 3-0 Last Friday. Marissa Kobelski added nine kills and four blocks.


Ava Sipley led Andover in service points (19) and blocks (2) while adding 19 assists and 7 digs, but the Golden Warriors lost to North Andover 3-1 on Saturday. Marissa Kobelski added nine kills.

Molly Kiley continued to role, winning in 16:43 to lead Andover to a 15-50 win over Lawrence last Wednesday. Leila Boudries was second (18:30), Abby Redington was third (18:52) and Claire De Mersseman and Meredith Williamson added top-five finishes.

Boys Cross Country Walsh paces Andover

Daniel Walsh took a team-high second overall in 14:58 as Andover topped Lawrence 15-50 last Wednesday. Colon Kirn was third (14:58), Matt Serrano was fourth (15:28) while Kyran Maher and Nick Parson took fifth and sixth for the winners.

Golf Ventura medalist

Nick Ventura earned medalist honors with a 34, leading Andover past Methuen 16-4 last Wednesday. Jack Simms, Noah Farland and Brady Morris added wins for the Warriors.

Girls Swimming Miella lead the way

Miella Or-Shahar won the 200 freestyle (2:23.82), Charlotte Moulson took the 100 butterfly (1:04.97), Jill Cavener swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay and they teamed with Katherine Wang to win the 400 freestyle relay (4:22.16) as Andover beat Lowelll 99-60 on Friday.

Boys Soccer Previte scores winner

Nik Previte scored the game’s lone goal, and Nil Castro-Rovira made six saves to lock down Andover’s 1-0 win over Haverhill last Tuesday.


Despite 15 saves for Gannon Sylvester, Andover fell to unbeaten North Andover 2-0 last Thursday.

Football Beal, Warriors fall

Lincoln Beal caught three passes for 76 yards and rushed for a team-high 35 yards as Andover fell to archrival Central Catholic 56-0 on Friday. QB Scotty Brown threw for 92 yards.
