Andover’s Jason Denoncourt surged to first overall in 43.94 — a combination of the slalom and giant slalom — at the North Shore Ski League Championship last Wednesday. The Golden Warriors took fourth as a team (449 points).


Orbits shines

Nikita Orbits placed sixth in the 100 backstroke (55.81) and teamed with Adam Medjamia, William Qian and Dennis Tang to take ninth in the 200 medley relay (1:43.40) as Andover placed 16th as a team (56 points) at the Division 1 State Meet on Sunday.

Kenneth Siu added a seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.79) and Sean Bradshaw was 12th in the diving (373.5 points).

Boys Hockey

Ingram scores three

Steve Ingram tallied a hat trick, giving him eight goals on the season, as Andover rolled past Acton-Boxboro 7-0 last Wednesday. Alex Trottier earned the shutout in net. 

Girls hockey

Dynamite debut

Freshman Lillian Jagger made her first career start in net in place of the under-the-weather Sean D’Urso and made 17 saves to lead Andover over Billerica, 4-3 on Friday. Emily Wagner scored twice for the Warriors.

Girls Skiing

Souter takes third

Anna Souter placed third overall in 48.12 to lead Andover at the North Shore Ski League Championship last Wednesday. The Warriors were fourth as a team (481 points).

Girls Basketball

Warriors roll

Tatum Shaw scored a game-high 16 points and Andover topped North Andover 65-37 last Thursday. Gia Bramanti added 15 points for the winners.

Boys Basketball

Shaw’s effort for naught

Stephen Shaw scored 17 points, but Andover saw Acton-Boxboro go to the free throw line 22 times while the Golden Warriors shot just two free throws and fell 51-49. Emmett Kim added 11 for the Warriors.


Despite 12 points for Kyle Rocker, Andover lost to rival North Andover 55-31 on Friday. Emmett Kim added 10 points.
