Krekorian, Gilmartin lead big girls lacrosse win

Girls Lacrosse

Shea Krekorian scored five goals and Emma Gilmartin found the back of the net four times as Andover beat Billerica 14-8 on Friday. Carissa Agostino added two goals and Jackie Brussard, Kalli Archambault and Erica Flowers each scored once for the winners.


Vanessa Pierni, Emma Gilmartin and Shea Krekorian each scored two goals and Andover beat Haverhill 14-1 last Tuesday. Livy Hodge made five saves for the winners.


Tess Gobiel scored twice, but Andover fell to Masconomet 8-5 last Thursday. Emma Gilmartin, Carissa Agostino and Shea Krekorian each scored once for the Warriors.

Girls Track

Barbanti, Parrott take titles

Delia Barbanti won the 200 in 25.38 at the elite Weston Twilight Invitational on Saturday. Lauren Olson added a second in the javelin (106-8).


Jodi Parrott won the long jump (18-9.5) and 100 hurdles (15.36) at the MVC Freshman/Sophomore Meet on Saturday. Olivia Foster added a victory in the pole vault (8-6) and the Andover freshman 4x100 won in 55.41.


Jodi Parrott took the long jump (17-6), high jump (4-10) and 100 hurdles (15.4) as Andover beat Lowell 89-56 last Wednesday. Olivia Foster won the pole vault (8-0), Laura Olson took the javelin (101-6), Kassie Brink won the triple jump (34-5.25) and Emma Griffin took the 2-mile (12:49.7).

Boys Tennis

O’Brien, Warriors roll

Reilly O’Brien battled to win top singles 7-5, 6-3 and Andover defeated Central Catholic 4-1 last Wednesday. Justin Gu added a No. 2 singles win.


Justin Gu and Alex Earl took a tough 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles and Andover downed North Andover 4-1 last Tuesday. David Grossman won top singles 6-2, 6-0.


David Grossman won top singles 6-1, 6-0 and Andover beat Methuen 5-0 last Monday. Sam Feng and Bryan Hun Htun took top doubles 6-0, 6-1 and Reilly O’Brien swept No. 2 singles.

Girls Tennis

Staying perfect

Jessica Bresnick and Sona Chaudhary teamed to win No. 1 doubles 6-0, 6-1 and Aishwarya Sood and Michelle Pan took No. 2 doubles 6-1, 6-2 as Andover topped 5-0 last Wedneday.


Isabel Zhou (No. 1 singles) and the duo of Anna Higgins and Grace Lyons (No. 2 doubles) each scored sweeps as Andover downed Methuen 5-0 last Monday.


Sidney Conway swept No. 3 singles and Corina Muntean won No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-1 as Andover beat Burlington 4-1 last Tuesday.

Boys Lacrosse

Puglisi leads big day

CJ Puglisi (4 saves), Jeremy Morganstern (2 saves) and Ian Aulback (2 saves) combined on a dominant performance in net as Andover rolled past Haverhill 11-1 last Tuesday. Alex Trottier scored three goals, Sam Murray scored twice and six other Warriors added one goal each.


Shamus Florio scored twice, but Andover lost to Billerica 7-5 on Friday.


Gruenberg does it all

Josh Gruenberg went the distance on the mound, striking out seven, and he went 2 for 2 at the plate with a run scored to lead Andover to a 2-0 win over Haverhill on Friday. Matt Potts and Aidan Ritter each drove in a run for the Warriors (6-2).


Patrick McConnell and Josh Gruenberg each drove in a run but Andover fell to North Andover 6-2 last Wednesday. Aidan Ritter added two hits for the Warriors.


Aidan Ritter and Patrick McConnell had Andover’s only hits in a 6-1 loss to Braintree. Matt Potts drove in the Warriors’ run.

Boys Track

Blatman stars

Dan Blatman kept rolling, winning the shot put with a 49-9, but Andover fell to Lowell 114-31 last Wednesday. Ryan Dennehy took the 200 (23.2) and the Warriors won the 4x400 relay.


Kroeger’s effort for naught

Bryant Kroeger tallied 15 service points and Troy Kennedy added 28 assists but Andover lost to Lowell 3-1 on Friday. Alex Durham chipped in with 15 kills and six blocks.


Despite 14 service points for Jyles Amirault, Andover lost to Haverhill 3-1 last Wednesday. Alex Durham added 12 kills and Troy Kennedy had 22 assists.


Andover lost to Chelmsford 3-0 last Monday.


Cocchiaro red hot

 Ashley Cocchiaro was 3 for 3 with two RBIs, but Andover fell to Danvers 7-3 last Monday. Paige Gillette added two hits and drove in a run for the Warriors.


Andover lost to North Andover 4-3 last Wednesday.
