Editor’s Note: Periodically, The Andover Townsman takes a look back at Andover High stars from the past 20 years through pictures. This week, we look at girls soccer:

While Andover High athletes and teams have excelled in a variety of sports over the years, few sports have produced more college standouts, including in Division 1, than girls soccer. Here are a few examples.

Katie Kramer (AHS class of 2002) helped lead Andover to the Division 1 state championship as a senior. She went on to play soccer at the University of Michigan.

Emily Pallotta (AHS, ‘06) became a star for Boston University, scoring eight goals as a senior and winning America East Woman of the Year.

Layal Hanna (AHS, ‘04) was a force on defense for the Golden Warriors, and went on to play at Bentley and Gabby Cappello (AHS ‘12) was an all-conference midfielder for Southern New Hampshire University.

Sisters Jackie Alois (AHS, ‘13) and Veronica Alois (AHS, ‘16) starred for Andover High, then both excelled at Brown University. Veronica was a captain as a senior.
