Best friends Curreri, Mauge each notch hat tricks in win

Close friends Stas Curreri and Edgar Mauge each scored three goals as Andover crushed Methuen 8-1 last Thursday. Raini Huynh and Eoin Stack each added single goals, Curreri and Jeff Hunt had two assists each and Dario Tagliaferri made four saves to combine with Evan Lundgren on the victory in net.


Phil Amesoeder scored a goal but Andover lost to Tewksbury 4-2 last Tuesday. Jeff Hunt scored the other Warrior goal, while Colby Agostino and Jordan Altaffer each had an assist.


Daesety dominates

Andover's Vikram Daesety was first overall in 17:13, while teammates Kevin Larney (17:19) and Devin Connell (17:48) were in second and third as the Golden Warriors downed Lawrence 17-46 last Thursday.


Cain takes gold

Sarah Cain paced the field with a winning time of 19:51 as Andover bested Lawrence 15-50 last Thursday. Grace O'Hara (20:26) was in second and Emma Griffin (20:37) took third overall for the winners.


Shih shines

Beth Nash, Sara Dever and Lydia Rankin each scored a goal and Andover rolled past Tewksbury 3-1 last Tuesday. Maddie Mucher had two assists and Izzy Shih made four saves for the win.

Andover fired 10 shots on goal, but Taylor Landry's was the only one to find the back of the net as the Golden Warriors played Methuen to a 1-1 tie last Thursday.


Theriault a medalist

Andrew Theriault and Mac Lee shared medalist honors by each shooting a 38 and Andover beat Methuen 16-4 last Thursday. Josh Gruenberg (39) and Tom Manning (41) added wins for the Warriors.


Andover rebounds

Kate Gregory scored two goals as Andover rebounded from its first loss of the season by rolling over Lowell 6-0 on Friday. Katherine Furry, Darsie Peterson, Brittney Gale and Sammy Shea each added single goals for the winners.


Despite a goal by Kate Gregory, Andover suffered its first loss of the season, falling to fellow state power, unbeaten Walpole 2-1 last Monday. Katherine Furry had an assist and Megan Hartnett made six saves for the Golden Warriors, who fell to 11-1-0.


Shattuck leads the way

Sarah Shattuck scored 15 service points and four aces and Sophia Wang had 20 digs as Andover High bested Methuen 25-20, 25-21, 13-25, 25-22 on Friday. Julia McBride added team-highs in kills (11) and assists (14) and Kendra Moore had three blocks for the winners.


Coorigan, Warriors roll

Amanda Coorigan won the 200 IM (2:35.44), Riley Spring took the 50 freestyle (27.98), Zoe Nepomnayshy won the 100 freestyle (59.91) and they teamed with Jessica Siu to take the 200 medley relay as Andover cruised past Dracut 89-63 on Friday. Gabby Rickards won the 200 freestyle and 100 back stroke and Nika Sokolova won the 500 freestyle for the Warriors.
