Jordan Clements won the 100 breaststroke (1:09.2) and swam on the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay as Andover ran away with the MVC Championship with 1,025 points, well ahead of No. 2 Haverhill (493).

The Clements sisters, Emily and Jordan, were spectacular yet again for Andover. The sisters combined for five event wins, highlighted by Emily’s time of 2:08.09 in the 200 IM.

Rachel Landry won the 100 freestyle (55.53) and she teamed with Emily Clements, Sophia Ju and Mia Galat on the winning 400 freestyle relay.

Warriors roll

Katherine Furry and Kate Gregory each scored one goal and assisted on the other’s as Andover downed Concord-Carlisle 2-0 in the Division 1 North first round last Thursday. Megan Hartnett had to make just one save for the shutout.

Girls soccer

Shih leads upset

Izzy Shih made six saves as Andover rallied from a one-goal deficit to beat Masconomet 2-1 in the Division 1 North first round.

Lydia Rankin scored the tying goal for Andover, and then with about five minutes left, Sara Dever came up with the winner to punch her team’s ticket to the North quarterfinal.

Moore leads win

Kendra Moore scored team-highs in service points (15), aces (6) and kills (8) as Andover rolled over Lynn Classic 25-6, 25-11, 25-10 on Saturday. Julia McBride added eight kills and nine digs and Sophia Wang had 15 assists for the winners.

Lundgren scores shutout

Evan Lundgren made four saves as Andover played undefeated Somerville to a 0-0 tie on Saturday.


Despite a Raini Huynh goal Andover lost to Somerville 3-1 in the Division 1 North first round last Thursday. Edgar Mauge assisted on the Warrior goal.
