Jacob Hudgins of Andover, a member of the U.S. junior national rowing team, won a silver medal at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships.
The competition was held in Tokyo.
The U.S. team fell short of the top spot to Germany, but stayed ahead of Great Britain for the second-place finish.
Germany finished with a time of 6:12.10, and the U.S. trailed slightly, clocking in at 6:16.50, according to USRowing.
Hudgins is one of eight rowers on the team, which has members from all over the country.
The U.S. team won its medal Sunday.
