Boys Cross Country
Matt Serrano placed first overall in 16:17.0 over 2.9 miles, as Andover grabbed the top 11 placed to beat Haverhill 15-50 last Tuesday. Other top finishers for the Golden Warriors were DJ Walsh (second, 16:32.2), Charlie Beams (third, 16:57.3) and Pat McCarthy (fourth, 17:08.8).
Girls Cross Country
Andover’s Molly Kiley ran to first overall in 18:57.2 and Leila Boudries was second overall in 19:18.1, but the Golden Warriors fell to Haverhill 27-32 last Tuesday. Kayla DiBenedetto was next in for the Warriors (sixth, 20:37.8).
Pace scores winner
Anton Pace’s second half goal was enough to allow Andover to grab its first win of the season, topping Haverhill 1-0 last Tuesday. Jackson Brown and Gannon Sylvester each made five saves to combine on the victory in net.
Nik Previte, Anthony Previte and Anton Pace each scored once and Andover played Haverhill to a 3-3 tie last Wednesday. Jackson Brown (4 saves) and Gannon Sylvester (7 saves) both impressed in net for the Golden Warriors.
Lowe heats up
Riley Lowe scored twice as Andover earned its first win of the season, beating Haverhill 4-2 last Tuesday. Annabelle Chan and Sophie Azzi each scored once, and Ainsley Napolitano (3 saves) and Kaitlyn Crowley (4 saves) combined for the win in net.
Sophia Azzi’s goal was all Andover needed to earn a 1-0 victory over Haverhill last Thursday. Kaitlyn Crowley (4 saves) and Ainsley Napolitano (5 saves) teamed for the shutout in goal.
Reilly, Farnham net three
Emma Reilly tallied a hat trick (three goals) as Andover rolled past Haverhill 7-0 last Wednesday. Hailey Doherty, Jaylin DeLeon, Kate Harris and Olivia Broderick each scored once for the winners, while Paige Gillette needed to make just one save.
Lily Farnham recorded her second hat trick of the season, and Hanna Medwar scored twice to help Andover stay perfect with another 7-0 win over Haverhill last Thursday. Emma Reilly and Jaylin Deleon each added a goal and Paige Gillette and Adelaide Weeden combined on the shutout in net as the Golden Warriors improved to 6-0-0 on the season.
Warriors drop two
Andover lost to unbeaten Haverhill 3-0 last Tuesday.
Andover again fell to Haverhill, 3-0 last Wednesday.
