Trailing by two goals midway through the second half, Lydia Rankin kicked off the Andover comeback with her second goal of the game, and Maddie Mucher followed with the tying goal then the winning goal as the Golden Warriors rallied to beat Dracut 4-3 last Thursday.
Mucher, Rankin, Sara Dever and Shelby Ganem each had an assist and Gabby Gillette and Izzy Shih combined for six saves for the winners.
Shelby Ganem scored a goal and assisted on another as Andover bested Haverhill 3-0 last Tuesday. Sara Dever and Maddie Mucher each added a goal and Izzy Shih made three saves for the winners.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Sullivan, Andover dominate
Andover's Sarah Sullivan was first overall in 18:51 and teammates Grace O'Hara (19:06) and Sarah Cain (19:10) were right behind in second and third as the Golden Warriors beat Haverhill (19-40), Dracut (16-48) and Billerica (22-34) last Tuesday. Isabella Silveira was next best for the winners in sixth.
Phil Amesoeder 's goal midway through the second half was enough to give Andover a 1-0 win over Newton South on Saturday. Jeff Hunt assisted on the score, while Evan Lundgren made six saves for the shutout.

Shea lights it up
Sammy Shea scored a pair of goals for the third straight game and Andover edged pesky Central Catholic 3-1 on Friday to remain unbeaten on the season at 9-0. Jordan Torres added the other Golden Warrior goal, Kate Gregory had two assists and Kat Devaney had one helper for the winners. Megan Hartnett made four saves for the win.
Sammy Shea scored two goals and Katherine Furry had a goal and two assists as Andover rolled past Lowell 7-0 last Monday. Darsie Peterson added a goal and an assist while Katherine Devaney, Kate Gregory and Jordan Torres each had a single goal.
Joanna Archambault scored a goal and assisted on another and Sammy Shea notched her second straight two-goal game for Andover, which cruised past Tewksbury 6-0 last Wednesday. Jordan Torres, Emma Farnham and Darsie Peterson scored a goal each and the Warrior defense allowed one shot on goal.
Warriors bounce back
Jillian Webber and Julia McBride each had nine kills as Andover bounced back from its first loss by defeating Haverhill 25-27, 25-13, 25-22, 25-18 last Wednesday. Sophia Wang added 11 digs and Sarah Shattuck had 13 service points for the winners.
Julia McBride led Andover in kills (6), assists (5) service points (19) and aces (4) to help the Warriors beat Dracut 25-17, 25-8, 25-9 on Friday. Jillian Webber added five blocks for the winners.
Julia McBride scored team-highs in service points (14) and digs (11), but Andover suffered its first loss of the season, 25-21, 21-25, 26-24, 25-19 last Monday to Central Catholic. Alexis Mancha added eight kills and nine digs for the Warriors.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Vikram leads the way
Vikram Daesety (16:16), Andy Chavez (16:19) and Devin Connell (16:37) took places 2-4 overall as Andover downed Haverhill (17-42) and Dracut (20-43) in a tri-meet last Tuesday. Kevin Larney was next in for the Warriors in sixth.
Carroll returns strong
Anna Carroll, who missed the first five meets of the season due to injury, returned to win the 100 butterfly (1:03.77) and swim on the winning 200 medley relay to help Andover beat Melrose 87-77 last Wednesday. Vic Ambrose won the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, Jordy Clements won the 200 IM and Emily Clements took the 100 breaststroke for the Warriors.
Grace Alwan won the 100 backstroke (1:03.04), Jordy Clements took the 100 breaststroke (1:11.92), Vic Ambrose won the 500 freestyle (5:20.20) and they teamed with Mia Galat to take the 200 medley relay as Andover beat Lowell 97-81 on Friday. Jesse Ford took the 100 freestyle and Sophie Ju won the 200 freestyle for the Warriors.
Lee keeps dominating
Mac Lee continued his dominant freshman season with a 2-up victory at the No. 1 spot, while Josh Grundberg added a 3-2 victory at No. 3 as Andover rolled past Triton 17-3 last Wednesday. Caroline Ingram, Chris Nyhan, Tyler Trapp, Dylan Melody and Matt Anton also had wins for the Warriors.
